If i tell me teacher I didn't cheat on the test, then there is camera proof I did, then I am a liar. The idea 'your mind played tricks on you' isn't good enough. Sure high tense situations can distort your ability to tell the truth, but at the end of the day what you reported wasn't true and was in fact a lie.
