More on Michel Martin

I recently posted about Michel Martin’s appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher.” Apparently so did she. However, her post was all fluff about the experience of being on the show. As eluded to in my previous post, someone needs to point out to Mrs. Martin that the homicides numbers she so readily rattled off on Real Time have a direct correlation to other violent crimes; namely dog fighting. Dog Fighting in NYC (updated)

Amazing!  In a New York Sun article, ”a spokesman for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Joseph Pentangelo, said he’s not aware of any arrests for organized dogfighting in the city over the last decade.”  How can that be?  Isn’t the ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement agency based in New York City?  Read the rest »

The Problem in Chicago

In Chicago, the Anti-Cruelty Society is the big name humane organization. The Anti-Cruelty Society has been in Chicago for over 100 years and, like its national counterpart the ASPCA, the Anti-Cruelty Society has tremendous name recognition. As a result, when citizens suspect animal cruelty they often times think the Anti-Cruelty Society is the organization to call. As a result the Anti-Cruelty Society states they receive between 200-300 animal cruelty complaints a month.  Read the rest »
